Brenna Batres received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Chicago, Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice, and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Brenna is trained in EMDR and is certified in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). She also incorporates elements of CBT, ACT, IFS, DBT, and Mindfulness in her work with clients. Brenna is a board-approved supervisor by the Minnesota Board of Social Work and supervises the MSW clinical interns at CLUES.
Brenna feels passionate about supporting her clients in breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma for themselves and their children, as well as increasing access to culturally affirming mental health services. She believes that the path to healing includes connecting with our culture, our values, and our community, meaning making, and unconditional self-acceptance.
