Elisa obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Trinity International University in South Florida (2014), and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota Professional School of Psychology at Argosy University (2018). She is a BBHT approved Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor . She has worked for over 5 years as a clinician, in various levels of co-occurring care treating substance use and mental health disorders, working directly with adolescents and adults throughout the Hispanic/Latinx community. Her multicultural clinical models of care include Cognitive-Based and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, psychodynamic, family systems, motivational interviewing, positive psychology and lifespan integration psychotherapy. Elisa has provided clients throughout these theoretical approaches both in group and individual sessions, anger management techniques, relaxation skills, impulse control, social skills, emotional coping skills, relationship skills and functional living skills for both adolescents and adults. She is currently mentoring other clinicians at CLUES and developing the MISUD adolescent program starting in 2024 alongside department management leaders.
