Ivette earned a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of St. Thomas-St Catherine’s University joint MSW program in 2019. Ivette has worked with the Latino community for over 7 years in a variety of settings including in schools, hospitals, clinics, and mental health facilities across the Twin Cities. Ivette specializes in working alongside Latino children, families, and individuals who have experienced trauma. Ivette’s past experiences include working as a School Social worker in Level 4 schools, an Intensive In-home therapist at a children’s mental health clinic, an outpatient therapist in a community clinic, and a Children’s Mental Health Case Manager at CLUES. In addition to working at CLUES as an Outpatient Therapist, she currently works in the emergency department as a mental health crisis clinician at Allina Health. As a Latina working in the mental health field, Ivette is passionate about serving her community and providing psychoeducation.
