Originaria de California, Julia se mud\u00f3 a las Ciudades Gemelas despu\u00e9s de obtener dos maestr\u00edas de la Universidad de California, Los \u00c1ngeles (UCLA) en Bienestar Social, centr\u00e1ndose en el Bienestar Infantil y Familiar, y Pol\u00edtica P\u00fablica, especializada en Inmigraci\u00f3n Latinx y Pol\u00edtica de Salud Comunitaria. Obtuvo su licenciatura en Estudios Internacionales y Estudios Hisp\u00e1nicos en la American University de Washington, DC. Su trayectoria profesional incluye funciones en la gesti\u00f3n de casos, la coordinaci\u00f3n de la atenci\u00f3n, la investigaci\u00f3n y la promoci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas, grupos de apoyo a la crianza no violenta, servicios Wraparound y, m\u00e1s recientemente, terapia intensiva en el hogar para ni\u00f1os y familias.<\/p>\n<p>Julia se centra en la compasi\u00f3n, la justicia y la colaboraci\u00f3n en su pr\u00e1ctica, con el objetivo de proporcionar una experiencia terap\u00e9utica donde los clientes se sientan vistos, escuchados, valorados y desafiados. Se especializa en terapia familiar e individual con ni\u00f1os, adolescentes y adultos que atraviesan traumas complejos, depresi\u00f3n, problemas de identidad y apego, ansiedad, conflictos familiares, trastornos del estado de \u00e1nimo o de la personalidad y trastorno por d\u00e9ficit de atenci\u00f3n con hiperactividad (TDAH). Julia emplea teor\u00edas relacionales, ecol\u00f3gico-sist\u00e9micas y de raza cr\u00edtica e integra una serie de modalidades terap\u00e9uticas, como la entrevista motivacional, la terapia informada por el trauma, la terapia interpersonal, la terapia de sistemas familiares, la terapia narrativa, la terapia de juego, la terapia cognitivo-conductual y la terapia basada en las fortalezas y centrada en la persona, para apoyar a sus clientes.<\/p>\n<p>Reconociendo sus diversas funciones como trabajadora social -defensora, facilitadora, mediadora y terapeuta- Julia se esfuerza por apoyar la transformaci\u00f3n, el crecimiento y la curaci\u00f3n de las personas, las comunidades y los sistemas e instituciones m\u00e1s amplios.
