CLUES organiz\u00f3 una ceremonia de inauguraci\u00f3n el mi\u00e9rcoles, 31 de julio, para dar la bienvenida a los colaboradores y donantes a su nueva expansi\u00f3n, que ha duplicado el tama\u00f1o de su sede en el East Side de Saint Paul.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\"Estamos encantados de dedicar este edificio de 40,000 pies cuadrados recientemente ampliado a la comunidad latina de Minnesota\", coment\u00f3 Ruby Lee, Presidenta y CEO de CLUES. \"Nuestros nuevos espacios son representativos de nuestro compromiso institucional para mejorar el liderazgo de los latinos, fomentar la regeneraci\u00f3n de la comunidad a trav\u00e9s del compromiso cultural y mejorar las probabilidades sociales y econ\u00f3micas de las personas a las que servimos\".<\/p>\n

Melvin Carter, el alcalde de la ciudad de Saint Paul, Carlos Tortolero, Presidente del Museo Nacional de Arte Mexicano, miembros de la junta directiva de CLUES, donantes y financiadores se unieron a esta celebraci\u00f3n especial. M\u00e1s de 150 donantes, voluntarios y socios recorrieron los nuevos espacios y conocieron el crecimiento de la organizaci\u00f3n y los nuevos programas y servicios.<\/p>\n

Las nuevas ampliaciones de oficinas de CLUES formar\u00e1n una piedra angular para la comunidad de r\u00e1pido crecimiento de East Metro y el corredor cultural en East 7th<\/sup> Street (la llamada Calle Siete). El espacio de 39,000 pies cuadrados incluye un nuevo Centro Diurno para personas mayores latinas, un Centro Tecnol\u00f3gico para Adolescentes, una Galer\u00eda de Arte Latino y un aula para el aprendizaje multigeneracional. Junto con el Consulado de M\u00e9xico, el edificio atrae a m\u00e1s de 35,000 personas cada a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

Como la agencia sin fines de lucro m\u00e1s grande de Minnesota, CLUES est\u00e1 posicionada para servir a la creciente poblaci\u00f3n latina de Minnesota, la cual se espera que alcance medio mill\u00f3n para el 2035 - m\u00e1s del 8.5 por ciento de la poblaci\u00f3n total del estado. CLUES agrupa servicios culturales y ling\u00fc\u00edsticamente relevantes a trav\u00e9s de Salud y Bienestar, Empoderamiento Econ\u00f3mico, Enriquecimiento Educativo y Artes y Cultura para satisfacer las necesidades complejas e interrelacionadas de la comunidad.<\/p>\n

La construcci\u00f3n de la expansi\u00f3n de $7.5 millones comenz\u00f3 en septiembre de 2018, y los programas y servicios comenzaron a ocupar el nuevo espacio este mes. El p\u00fablico est\u00e1 invitado a visitar y disfrutar de las nuevas instalaciones en CLUES Fiesta Latina 2019<\/a>, que se llevar\u00e1 a cabo el 10 de agosto de 11 a.m. a 4 p.m. en la calle Siete Este que rodea a CLUES.<\/p>\n

\"Nuestros nuevos programas est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para empoderar a los latinos y a los j\u00f3venes proporcion\u00e1ndoles acceso y oportunidades para que puedan realizar su propio Sue\u00f1o Americano\", dijo Ruby Lee. \"Nuestros nuevos espacios reafirman nuestra misi\u00f3n de apoyar a los latinos y a los nuevos inmigrantes para que sean saludables, pr\u00f3speros y involucrados en sus comunidades\".<\/p>\n

Un nuevo hogar para las artes y la cultura latinas en Saint Paul. La galer\u00eda ser\u00e1 un espacio para definir narrativas - explorando la diversidad de nuestra comunidad, de d\u00f3nde venimos y hacia d\u00f3nde vamos. Los artistas latinos amplificar\u00e1n las narrativas que proporcionan un sentido de pertenencia y poder para nuestra gente, y que apoyan a los miembros marginados de nuestra comunidad mientras superamos colectivamente el miedo y el aislamiento.<\/p>\n

Un espacio centrado en la juventud dise\u00f1ado para fomentar la creatividad y el pensamiento cr\u00edtico mediante la participaci\u00f3n de los j\u00f3venes en la grabaci\u00f3n de m\u00fasica, la producci\u00f3n de pel\u00edculas, la codificaci\u00f3n y el dise\u00f1o. El espacio de este fabricante animar\u00e1 a los j\u00f3venes a perseguir sus sue\u00f1os y a crear con el apoyo de mentores capacitados.<\/p>\n

La Cocina de Cargill -<\/strong> Cocina de Ense\u00f1anza Comercial<\/strong>
\nUn lugar de encuentro para ancianos y j\u00f3venes por igual - un espacio para construir comunidad, aprender sobre alimentaci\u00f3n saludable, tener acceso a alimentos saludables y transmitir las tradiciones culinarias a las generaciones m\u00e1s j\u00f3venes. A partir de agosto, tendremos eventos semanales de distribuci\u00f3n de alimentos, \"La Canasta Familiar\", para proporcionar alimentos saludables gratuitos a la comunidad. En el oto\u00f1o, las comidas comunitarias celebrar\u00e1n y elevar\u00e1n las comidas tradicionales mientras fortalecen nuestra conexi\u00f3n social.<\/p>\n

Seis aulas nuevas<\/strong>
\nTres salas de usos m\u00faltiples, dos salas de tecnolog\u00eda y una sala de arte crear\u00e1n nuevas oportunidades para que los latinos y los inmigrantes de todas las edades desarrollen sus habilidades laborales, aprendan ingl\u00e9s, obtengan su GED, busquen la ciudadan\u00eda, accedan a la tecnolog\u00eda y sean creativos. Estos espacios fomentan el aprendizaje intergeneracional y un sentido de comunidad.<\/p>\n

\nUn gran espacio de reuni\u00f3n de la comunidad con capacidad de hasta 140 personas para albergar oportunidades y eventos de participaci\u00f3n de la comunidad, foros de aprendizaje y eventos del vecindario.
