La semana aumenta la conciencia de los derechos de las v\u00edctimas mientras honra a los sobrevivientes del crimen.<\/p><p>NCVRW tambi\u00e9n conmemora a los defensores que han impulsado el movimiento por los derechos de las v\u00edctimas a lo largo de los a\u00f1os. El tema de este a\u00f1o es \u201cBuscar la justicia \u2013 Asegurar los derechos de las v\u00edctimas \u2013 Inspirar esperanza\u201d. Debido a COVID-19, muchos eventos planeados en persona han sido cancelados. Sin embargo, para conmemorar la semana,\u00a0<strong>CLUES har\u00e1 una presentaci\u00f3n en\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/2295706460722883\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Facebook Live<\/a>\u00a0el jueves 23 de abril a las 4:00 pm,<\/strong>\u00a0reconociendo a los sobrevivientes de nuestra comunidad. CLUES est\u00e1 decidido a responder al crimen y la violencia ayudando a los sobrevivientes a encontrar no s\u00f3lo apoyo, recuperaci\u00f3n y justicia, sino tambi\u00e9n un sentido de esperanza para su futuro.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7c47528 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7c47528\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">La historia personal de una v\u00edctima\u00a0<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cca5251 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cca5251\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Ver\u00f3nica entr\u00f3 en shock al descubrir que su hija menor, de s\u00f3lo 5 a\u00f1os, hab\u00eda sido abusada sexualmente. Sab\u00eda que ten\u00eda que denunciar el crimen a la polic\u00eda, \u00bfpero ahora qu\u00e9? Buscando m\u00e1s apoyo, vino a CLUES y encontr\u00f3 el programa de defensa de la violencia dom\u00e9stica y la agresi\u00f3n sexual. Ver\u00f3nica fue asignada a un consejero especialista para ayudarla a navegar por el confuso sistema de justicia criminal. Al principio era esc\u00e9ptica, parec\u00eda que no pasaba nada con el caso de su hija mientras ella sufr\u00eda en casa. Su hija estaba luchando con el trauma que experiment\u00f3 pero era demasiado joven para ponerlo en palabras, y Ver\u00f3nica no sab\u00eda c\u00f3mo ayudarla. Su consejero le ayud\u00f3 a entender el sistema de justicia criminal, y que \u00e9ste se mueve lentamente mientras recopilaban las pruebas y la informaci\u00f3n necesarias para el caso de su hija. Tambi\u00e9n la remitieron a una terapia de salud mental especializada para ayudar a su hija en su recuperaci\u00f3n. El consejero de Ver\u00f3nica la invit\u00f3 a asistir a un grupo de apoyo de CLUES para v\u00edctimas de abuso sexual y cuidadores de v\u00edctimas de abuso sexual. Ver\u00f3nica decidi\u00f3 asistir, aunque no sab\u00eda realmente qu\u00e9 esperar. Nunca se perdi\u00f3 una sesi\u00f3n. En el grupo aprendi\u00f3 sobre la din\u00e1mica del abuso y los efectos del trauma, y aprendi\u00f3 muchas habilidades de afrontamiento que pod\u00eda poner en pr\u00e1ctica en casa con su familia. A medida que se involucraba m\u00e1s en los programas de CLUES, como el curso de empoderamiento econ\u00f3mico para compradores de vivienda y los programas de educaci\u00f3n para padres, expandi\u00f3 su comunidad de apoyo.
