Lidia obtained her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from The College of St. Scholastica with experience in childcare, nonprofits, and residential/emergency shelters for youth and families. She also has many years of experience working with children, ranging in age from six months to twenty-one years old. Her focus has been on providing care and support to children in various settings, whether it’s in after-school programs, daycares, or residential/emergency shelters. In these roles, she ensures that she provides the tools they need to succeed and overcome difficult times.
Lidia was born in Mexico but was brought to Minnesota at six months old, where she has lived my entire life. She has experienced cultural diversity by living in different areas of the Twin Cities, Duluth, and Washington County. She is excited to be working back in the Twin Cities, where she can focus on providing direct mental health care to Latino families in the community. As a first-generation Latina, she understands how challenging it can be to find the right resources, especially when it comes to mental health. That is why Lidia is proud to be part of a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping and guiding Latino families through challenging times with the right skills and support!
