CLUES Impact Report: Bridging the gaps during the Covid-19 Crisis 2020-2021
We invite you to journey with us through 2020 and 2021 and the impact of COVID-19 in our community. When COVID-19 was first detected in early 2020, our staff quickly moved into rapid response mode, shifting our programming and re-positioning our work to meet the immediate needs of the community. We launched a Latino Relief Fund to provide emergency cash assistance to marginalized families who were excluded from federal relief and recovery programs and launched a bilingual COVID-19 hotline to provide information and support to thousands over the last two years. We doubled down our efforts in 2021 to deal with persistent gaps including food insecurity, economic distress, homelessness, access to vaccinations, and behavioral health resources. Sadly, the pandemic has left many Latinos facing further economic instability and emotional stress.
The commitment to boost up strong and resilient families remains at the center of our work. As we address fundamental economic inequalities, we aim to create sustainable, long-term resources and solutions that address ongoing access gaps. The impact of our efforts has resulted in a few long-term solutions that bridge access gaps that you can discover in our 2020-2021 Impact Report. Everything we have been able to accomplish in partnership with our funders, and partners.
