Alejandra is a Mexican-native, Minnesota-raised immigrant. She is a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where she received her Bachelor of Arts in developmental psychology. During her time in undergrad, she was a part of the President’s Emerging Scholar program and served in several leadership roles for clubs such as Mi Gente’s Family Program, Gopher Catholic and Destino. Alejandra loves working with youth of all ages. She has experience working with children from The Bridge Autism Clinic as a behavioral therapist and as a mentor for the S.T.E.M. Summer Emerge program that aims to guide and empower low-income, BIPOC and first-generation high school students. She is discerning what her next career and educational goals are. Her personal work is rooted in social justice and equity, empathy and zealousness for Latino and immigrant communities. Currently, she provides direct assistance to clients who are interested in starting mental health services.
Outside of work, you can catch her spending time with loved ones and getting matcha drinks, watching foreign films and shows, reading, traveling and hiking, social dancing, and playing sports.
