Caromyr Figueroa, MD is originally from Puerto Rico, where she graduated with honors and earned her Medical Degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She completed her General Psychiatry Residency, as well as a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, at the University of Minnesota. She is certified by the American Academy of Psychiatry and Neurology in both general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry and brings valuable experience from her various positions in the community. She has provided direct psychiatry care and consultation at La Familia Counseling Center, Northeast Youth and Family Services in Shoreview, and she served as the Medical Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic and Services at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC). In addition to providing psychiatric services in both English and Spanish in CLUES, she currently works as a clinical consultant at Lutheran Social Services in Minneapolis, as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Allina Health Mental Health—Unity Clinic in Fridley and is adjunct faculty of the University of Minnesota.
