Gema Alvarado-Guerrero is a Learning & Talent Development Manager at Hormel Foods, where she supports operational teams and champions lifelong learning and holistic workforce development. A Riverland Community College alumna and first-generation college student, Gema holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical social work.

Her professional experience spans education, nonprofit leadership, social services, and workforce development, including roles as an executive director, parent educator, and adjunct instructor. Throughout her career, Gema has been passionate about creating opportunities, strengthening communities, and helping individuals reach their full potential.

As a member of the CLUES Board of Directors, Gema brings her experience in workforce development, education, and community leadership, along with her commitment to empowering individuals and families, to support CLUES’ mission of advancing social and economic equity and wellbeing for Latino families and communities.
