The CLUES Family Systems Project presents the first-ever series of Early Childhood Community Conversations once a month via CLUES Facebook Live. Join us to be part of these Spanish-language conversations between parents, caregivers, and professionals in the early childhood field. Parents will lead the conversation by asking the most frequently asked questions about their child's early learning and development. In the community, we learn!
Our first topic for April is "Creating Inclusion for Autistic Children" on April 13 from 5 to 6 pm.
Many parents of children on the spectrum feel that society is not made for them. Celebrate Autism Acceptance Month with CLUES and join us to learn strategies/ways to support autistic children in their social and emotional well-being.
Speaker: Liz Franklin, MSW, LICSW, is the Associate Director of Behavioral Health at CLUES. She also teaches child development, trauma, and therapy with children and adolescents in the Master of Social Work program at the University of Minnesota. Liz has worked with Latino children and families in the Twin Cities since 2005. Her specialties include helping families understand resources and systems to advocate for their children, and helping neurotypical and neurodiverse youth heal from trauma.
