The current U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary recently designated Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for citizens of Venezuela. Previously, the former Trump administration had issued a memorandum on January 19, 2021 providing for the Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) from the U.S. of certain Venezuelan nationals. The talk will provide an overview of TPS, eligibility requirements, information on how to apply, and deadlines.
