Today, 1 in 6 Latino children faces hunger. Canasta Familiar, our food distribution program, is addressing this increasing crisis by providing fresh meats, produce, and culturally specific foods in Saint Paul, Minneapolis, and Austin, MN. We need support to meet the ever-increasing demand.
This unprecedented need calls for unprecedented action! We are in urgent need of support from governmental and private agencies and caring individuals. Please support now the immediate access to healthy and cultural food through our food pantry Canasta Familia, a unique and valuable center for the community.
On May 22nd, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey visited our Canasta Familiar program in Minneapolis. Mayor Frey collaborated with CLUES staff and volunteers in the distribution of food and saw first-hand the food access crisis Latinos are experiencing today. We thank the Mayor’s office for the visit and support.
