Today’s National Volunteer Week spotlight honors David Williard, who has served as Citizenship teacher since 2018. “David Williard did an excellent job leading our citizenship class on Monday evenings. David not only informed students about the US citizenship process and provided much-needed practice for their naturalization interviews, but, as an associate professor of history, he gave students a deeper understanding of U.S. history and culture. His dedication to CLUES has changed the lives of many of his students who can now call themselves US citizens!” said Trisha McIntyre his supervisor.
Here’s what David had to say about what CLUES means to him: “For me, CLUES is a vital resource for community members. CLUES helps connect the Latinx population to valuable resources and assistance within the community. They have a dedicated group of people at every level from volunteers, to staff and supervisors who value and support the organization’s mission.”
Thank you for all you do, David, and all our volunteers for their service!
