CLUES parenting educators support you in learning how to strengthen your skills as a parent.
CLUES parenting educators support you in learning how to strengthen your skills as a parent.
CLUES parenting educators use the Parents as Teachers curriculum to provide you with tools to address your child’s developmental needs and concrete strategies to support the healthy development of your child’s brain.
The program also focuses on your wellbeing as a caregiver and the wellbeing of your whole family by providing community resources, support in times of need and monthly group connection activities with other families in the program.
Culturally responsive, Spanish-speaking parenting educators will visit your home on a monthly basis and provide an hour-long lesson on topics specific to the developmental stage and needs of your child, as well as provide an opportunity for you to interact with your child through educational activities. The parenting educator will also assist you in connecting with community resources like WIC, SNAP, Head Start, etc.
Parents as Teachers is free and open to pregnant Latina women or Latino families with children 2 years of age and younger in the Twin Cities metro area who are looking for support in raising their children. Families can remain in the program until their child enters kindergarten.
