CLUES offers free tax preparation service for people with low or medium income. The confidential service is performed by IRS-certified volunteers and includes electronic delivery (e-file) directly to the IRS.
The Tax Year 2022 season opens from Jan. 31 – April 18th, 2023, CLUES is taking limited in person appointments at the following times and locations:
- Tuesdays – 4pm – 7:30pm – CLUES Minneapolis (January 31 - April 11, 2023)
- Thursdays – 4pm – 8pm – CLUES St. Paul (February 2 - April 18, 2023)
- Sundays – 9am – 12pm – CLUES St. Paul (February 4 - April 15, 2023)
*Appointments are subject to postponement and rescheduling due to COVID related closures and staff and volunteer capacity. Additionally, providing tax prep services through virtual platforms may be an alternative service option.

Interested in filing your own income taxes from the comfort of your home? Do you have basic computer skills? CLUES FSA may be the option for you!
To request FSA services:
Please send your request to taxfsa@clues.org. You will receive an email response with access to CLUES’ FSA platform. You will be required to create an FSA account. Please follow the following suggestions:
- Write “Request FSA Access” on the email subject line to taxfsa@clues.org
- Response with FSA access link will be provided immediately
- Please provide your name, phone number, and any general tax-related questions if you require initial support.
CLUES Tax Volunteers are available to help by providing the following support:
- Account creation and technical support
- Tax-related support and consultation via Phone, Email, Zoom
- Ongoing FSA webinars and tutorials
