For some children in our community, the holidays can be a painful reminder of what they have to live without. During this season of joy, CLUES is promoting our annual event, Al Niño con Cariño – To a Child with Love – in collaboration with Toy For Tots. This event offers low-income families the opportunity to provide their children with a joyful holiday season. This year the event will take place at the CLUES Minneapolis office on December 13 (See the information about event registration below.)
Every December, CLUES' office turns into a veritable winter wonderland! While children wait, playing games or creating holiday crafts, their parents step into a room filled with donated new toys, where they carefully pick out a gift for each of their children. These gifts are carefully wrapped by volunteers to keep the magic of the holiday season alive. For children whose parents are struggling, Al Niño con Cariño can sometimes mean the difference between a holiday with presents and one without.
In 2018, CLUES provided toys to almost 1,000 children, making the holiday season brighter for both them and their families. With your help, we would like to make that number even greater in 2019. Remember 1 toy = 1 big, happy smile!
You can donate a new, unwrapped toy at CLUES Minneapolis (720 E Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55407) until December 6. Toys are needed for newborns through children 15 years old. We accept gift cards to help us fill the gaps. We need your help to serve even more children this year!

Donating items is great, but someone needs to organize, wrap and distribute all these gifts, too! Al Niño con Cariño needs individuals who volunteer their time to help CLUES the day of the event. We also need restaurants and individuals to donate food for volunteers. Please contact volunteer@clues.org for more information or 651-379-4220.
