CLUES invites you to participate in the exhibition "El Tendedero"
This is a guest article by CLUES Family Services Program Team
April is Sexual Violence Awareness Month (SAAM), and our Domestic and Sexual Violence Program is putting together the Clothesline Project (name El Tendedero in Spanish), an interactive exhibit that promotes collective reflection by acknowledging common experiences of harassment and sexual violence. This event is being organized in collaboration with Standpoint, a legal advocacy organization that advocates for victims/survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
The Clothesline Project is a visual display dedicated to raising awareness about the reality of sexual violence in our society. It is composed of t-shirts and messages created by survivors of violence, or in honor of someone who has experienced violence. We recognize that some of the messages displayed can be triggering. Please be mindful of this when visiting the exhibit.
We invite you to participate in this event and come visit this exhibit located in the CLUES Latino Art Gallery of our headquarters office at 797 E 7th St, St Paul, MN 55106! The exhibit will be displayed throughout the month of April from Monday through Friday!
Do you need help getting a protection order? Do you feel unsafe in your relationship? Would you like to attend a support group? If you have experienced domestic violence or sexual abuse we can help! Call CLUES' 24-hour crisis hotline at 612-746-3535.
