We are excited to share with you our new cooking show and fundraising effort: Nuestros Sabores. Join us this holiday season in our kitchen to celebrate Latino flavors, experiences, and cultural diversity. This is an opportunity for you and your family to learn traditional Latino recipes from famous Latino chefs like Chef Gustavo Romero, Chef Jose Alarcon, and Chef Soleil Ramirez all based in the Twin Cities.
Many of us, as Latino immigrants, live for our culture. For us, food is what connects us to those roots, and it is one way to demonstrate our identity to the rest of the world.
Each Latino country has its unique flavor and particular technique that only those who have experienced and prepared them know. The cuisine of our countries is the result of a mixture of cultures, beliefs, origins and traditions that each dish represents part of those histories.
Nuestros Sabores will also highlight the CLUES community values of family, healthy living, and cultural engagement. In addition, we will feature information about CLUES’ work in the community and timely discussions about social and economic issues impacting Latinos in Minnesota and across the country.
At CLUES, we dedicate ourselves to helping our community, especially those in need. Many Latino businesses have suffered greatly this past year, concerned that their businesses will not survive the pandemic. Only about 7% of those businesses received help. That is why CLUES stepped up. But we need your help. More than ever.
Nuestros Sabores is also an opportunity to support CLUES’ Community Lending Fund! This program supports underserved low-income vetted entrepreneurs who need access to small loans to start or establish their small businesses to create a steady income for themselves and their families. Some of the businesses we are currently supporting include- food trucks, cleaning services, landscaping, and hand-made artisan products.

Latino cuisine is the soul of our people. We already know that Minnesotans and the rest of the world, love it and want to learn more about its diversity. The dishes that we will prepare on Nuestros Sabores will show a small fraction of our culture and culinary specialties.
