During every election cycle millions of people find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don’t update their registration, or are confused on how to register. National Voter Registration Day wants to make sure everyone has the opportunity to vote. Today, Tuesday, September 22, 2020, National Voter Registration Day seeks to create awareness of voter registration opportunities to reach the multitude of voters who may not register otherwise. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon forms part of the National Register to Vote steering committee in partnership with public, private, and nonprofit organizations.

Did you know registering to vote is actually very simple? You can do it from the comfort of your own home, with a friend, or at your nearest library. There are a few ways you can register to vote:

• Register online
• Register on paper
• Register on Election Day 

CLUES is promoting a special campaign about voter engagement called "El Poder del Voto" (the power of voting) to provide outreach and education to eligible Latino voters to promote safe voting during the pandemic and why it is important for Latino communities to vote.
