During every election cycle millions of people find themselves unable to vote because they miss a registration deadline, don’t update their registration, or are confused on how to register. National Voter Registration Day wants to make sure everyone has the opportunity to vote. Today, Tuesday, September 22, 2020, National Voter Registration Day seeks to create awareness of voter registration opportunities to reach the multitude of voters who may not register otherwise. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon forms part of the National Register to Vote steering committee in partnership with public, private, and nonprofit organizations.
